Finally got around to building it. Still need handlebar grips, put mine on a mates bike I was refurbishing for him on the cheap. Meant to get new ones, never got around to it.
Vernon Barker Tange Ultralight triple butted frame, SRAM X-7 gears, currently wearing road tyres acquired with the wheels, knobblies in the shed ready to go. AS a roadie, it's been interesting to do - never built cantis before etc etc. Weighs in at 23lbs (though that will go up when the knobblies go on as they weigh a ton!)
May also swap it to a Campag compact chainset as the eBay derailleur doesn't manage 3 rings... Realistically, for what I'm intending (road / snow / light trail riding) a 34x34 bottom gear is enough. If it's not, I can walk...
