Well there’s a little bit of truth in that statement, I’ve been helping my lad with a touring road bike, but most evenings have been taken up with this;

Last week I thought 'Oh Crap.... Mountain Mayhem is on the horizon!... better get my arse in gear!'

So I started with checking what I'd done so far and tightening up what I'd thrown on for the photos… good job I did!

The old bottom bracket that Longun & LGF had a chew at measured 115mm, so naturally I replaced it with something the same length, a 115mm BB-UN72. A couple of years out but apart from the plastic near side component (that LGF didn’t like one bit) I thought all good.

Wrong, after a few turns to tighten it up, the result was zero clearance…. :facepalm:

I looked for a 127.5 mm online (assuming that the extra length would be divided equally) but no joy, then I spotted a 122.5 BB-UN70 so I thought I’d give it a go… :|

Phew! just about ok I think…

Last time I got picked up for something like that it was by THM for calling Autumn ‘Fall’
