Retro Newbie
SOLD - This is my wife's bike, bought new from a local Raleigh dealer in Bridgend, Mid. Glamorgan. The bike has only had about 500 miles of use since new, and has been kept in a dry garage since then. It is as close to immaculate as you are likely to find for an original 1980's retro bike.

It is completely original apart from having the original saddle replaced with a Madison, the bar tape replaced with foam grips and the brake levers adapted with secondary levers for bar top use. The tyres are even original and although they hold air, they will need replacing.

The frame is undamaged apart from a couple of small stone chips and most of the equipment is as new apart from a bit of light surface rust in one or two places on things like the QR skewers and the steel covers over the alloy gear lever pivots.

The bike has a 19.5inch mixte frame which is perfect for a shorter lady; my wife is 5 foot 2.

The spec is as follows:-

Handbuilt with Reynolds 531 main tubes and suntour adjustable dropouts.
Weinmann 27" wheels with Maillard QR hubs (zinc plated spokes not stainless steel).
Six speed suntour block, Suntour ARX front and rear mechs (non indexed) with Suntour power shift ratchet downtube mounted levers
Raleigh 750 Weinmann centre pull brakes and levers
Sugino GT chainset with 34/50 chainrings
Sakae road champion custom bars and stem
SR laprade fluted alloy seat post
Madison leather covered ladies seat
SR quill alloy pedals with leather covered half toe clips
ESGE mudguards

It's going on Ebay with a starting price of £100, but we are looking for £150 in view of it's condition
