my mate was riding to work on his bike and got knocked off by a drunken idiot some how he has managed to crush his chainrings into a oval shaped (i have no idea how)

anybody got a real cheap beater crankset shimano ?
his was 300x is it ?

How about a Shimano Exage 170mm (drive side only), its a triple but you can take off the small ring, I have a few different size rings for it.

Or...

A black Campagnolo Mirage 175mm compact, again, I have a few size rings for it
