Help - Steerer a bit short on new fork - headset q's

Got a steal on a BOS fork. OMG its amazing

But the bad news its a bit shorter than my already pretty short marzo

So I need a stem and headset combo that is really low rise and suitable for AM/FR use

I have a commencal mini dh so its just straight up 1 1/8

Have you considered a head stem extension, not elegant but will sort you out.

I have one of those on a bike where I wanted to raise the handlebars up a bit; they were well below the saddle height and I was finding it uncomfortable.

As you can see, I've raised the bars quite a bit, not pretty, but it's only my "shopping bike".

Notice the additional clamp I've added at the bottom of the stack of spacers, it's actually a seatpost clamp, and it clamps on the top of the steerer tube proper. Without it I found that I would get a bit of play in the headset bearings after a few rides. However, it may not be an issue if you're not extending the steerer so much.

I have used these and they are great

not very light but they work well and can be adjusted easily and not visible when fitted .
