Framebuilding courses

Hey all,

Thinking at some point in the near future I might invest in / treat myself to a framebuilding course... I'm making an effort to build up my technical skills with a view to progressing my little cycle business (and also this is something I've long fancied trying my hand at)!

So looking for any recommendations please folks :)

Ideally in the North of England - I'm in Manchester and don't have a car ATM.

And - even better - where the total price would include taking home a finished frame that I've built myself

Cheers for any tips/advice/opinions on this...

The yates course is notable for not really teaching you how to build a frame, it's more of a guided framebuild. Bicycle academy is the best for actually learning how to build frames, and will be starting a course where you get to keep the frame soon. It's in somerset though.

I'd be interested to hear what you think of it, and of course, to see what you create. :D

My course starts on the 4th May (star wars day :D )
I'll be taping you up for local bike routes closer to the time!
