Modern Slingshots

A well-known UK discount bike website has a few modern Slingshot (Fold-Tech) frames for sale at a price I could probably afford, and maybe even justify. Anyone ridden one? Pros and cons? Comments on geometry and fork travel? Buy modern or save my money for a retro frame?

There's only one left in my size, so one of you could resolve my dilemma by buying it before I do...

I had a Farmboy 29" and it was a dream ride... much better than the 1991 model I had.

The new fiberglass board is way thicker, sturdier and more responsive. So is the new spring.

The foldtech is really heavy but the "slingpower" delivers a smooth climbing bike. Climbing on the saddle is the best I've ever tried, and I've had a Merlin, two Rewel (ti, handmade in Italy), a Yeti, and two Klein, to name some, not to mention the FTW I have now.

Too bad the 16" size was too short for me.

well, if they run out of foldtech I can get you one, but slightly more expensive, On one made a buyout...
