I'm told it can be bumpy but flat. Roughly how many lifts would you say? Thinking bike weight v comfort. Explosive effort is not my bag these days. No power lifting or truck pulling for example.

I've done the same route on a tourer before, you should be fine. Just be prepared for some lifting!
