Sorry to make my first post a want, however I see this as testing the water, and I a know that SS in the mtb world is a little off the beaten track, as it were. Especially when you throw in the retro thing.....
Currently I run a humuhumunukuyougettheidea SS. It is fairly interesting, first gen with some nice stuff. It handles really nicely. I have the power so it is not an issue so far. I love it in fact. (Gearing was 36/18, now 37/18 for those that care).
However, I wish for something more capable. I also love steel. I love older GTs, Konas, etc. So if someone had a SS Steel bike, built(?), and wasnt after silly money and even better, had use for goldtec hubs on opencd rims with dtswiss black spokes (fixed btw) or a 653 large joe waugh frame then let me know. Let me know anyway - i may have sold by the time you contact me.
