Frame is size 17.5" should you be interested in riding it. It could just as easily be hung on the wall!

This bike was one of two (according to Gary F) prepared for Gary Foord's challenge in the inaugural Olympic Men's Mountain Bike XC in 1996. Gary, who was UK no1 and at the pinnacle of World Cup leaders' group including Bart Brentjens, finished 12th, a great effort.

The frame is something of a Soft-tail propotype and has "Gary Foord" lacquered into the top tube, it may have preceded the Endorphin logo, not sure. The rest of the graphics are as other examples, except for advertising brand logos, also lacquered in, presumably to catch the spectators' eye in Atlanta or on TV.

The location of the other bike is unknown, Gary thinks it may have been destroyed.

Following conversations with Gary, I have a little more info for anyone who's interested, (or "Google it") nothing newsworthy to be honest but a lot of personal memories from him. http://www.ukmtbhalloffame.com/hall-of- ... ary-foord/ Gary owns the local bike shop here: Mammoth Lifestyle in Milford http://www.mammothlifestyle.co.uk/ and has the Specialized Concept store in Stafford. He's a good man.

I'll post some pictures when I clean the dust from the bike; it's a bit of a "barn find"

VALUE
In lieu of consultation on the value of this frame in particular, I will set a price which reflects the uncertain value of a bike with historical significance; I acknowledge that its value as a trailbashing vehicle may be limited, although since I serviced it, my wife has ridden it twice off-road and had no complaints. I have spun it on a Turbo Trainer and it works just fine. A weight weeny racer could have a lot of fun with this frame, as would a youth.

I therefore set its value at £3007.96; a significant date in history. Please don't ridicule this value, it is subjective.

Meanwhile, anyone interested please contact me.

A donation of any sale will go to https://www.pdsa.org.uk/ and http://www.petwelfare.co.uk/
Peace and love
