can a Dura Ace FH-7400 hub be retrofit with a 10-speed cassette? I found the thread below, but if anyone could confirm that'd be great. I have found conflicting info as to whether 7400 was 7 or 8 speed. Maybe both were supported in different iterations, even? Thanks in advance. ... ?p=1250860 ... 3544790850

7400 saw a few guises. Think the original was 7 speed and the later (7403) was 8 speed. I'm not 100% on this but I think that when the dual pivot brakes were introduced that's when 8 speed was introduced too.

A 10 speed cassette will fit onto a 8 speed cassette body but not a 7.
