Headsets with low stack height?

I need a headset to replace a shimano ultegra 6400, which has a stack height of 33.5mm. Most other headsets seem to have several mm more stack height, so I'm beginning to think it might be difficult to find a replacement... can anyone point me in the direction of a headset with low stack height? which makes, models, etc might be suitable? Are there any other solutions?

Not as good quality as your Ultegra though I guess.

Thanks! I need to check my ultegra 6400, but if it's OK mechanically then I might get away with a good polish on the visible parts.

I'll check out the tange headsets though - I had one on another bike years ago and it lasted very well

You could also look out for a Campagnolo (Nuovo) Gran Sport model, date from 1970/80 I think. Tend to sell quite a bit cheaper than other Campagnolo models, I think I got mine for around £30, but handily have the same low stack height as their early, and vastly more expensive, Pista headsets. Around 33 - 34 mm. They're identifiable by only having two wrench flats on the upper cup.
