just picked up an old viking and it came with some nice blumells mudgaurds and a matching pump. not heard of them before, so any good or bin foder?

i dont want to know how much they are worth but.... for instance, if you were going to sell the bike they came on, would you leave them on or sell separately? assuming profit is what you are after... all hypothetically of course.

I'd personally leave them on. They aren't worth much individually but they might be hard to replace period parts. Having said that its just a guess as Im no expert!!

Bluemels were first choice for mudguards in the 1950's. Also made steering wheels for MG.
Celluloid were better than the later plastic.

Put it this way, you would have to pay around £40 to replace them now.....they are available as my mate has a few pairs :wink:
