show me the light!

I was wondering if any of you guys can recommend any lighting, especially if the 'Hope' lighting is out of your ball park.

I'm after somthing that lets me be seen and also see where I am going.

I have used Nightsuns in the past and they were excellent BITD, no longer brought into the UK but they do sell via their website.

Depends if you want them retro or not

I was thinking that it would have to be modern to produce a descent level of light?

Lighting

I've just bought a Cateye Opticube (530 I think) in the sale at M.Steels, Gosfroth, Newcastle upon Tyne. Ten quid down from thirty. It takes 4 AA batteries so isn't the lightest but on the higher beam option I can see obstacles on badly lit roads as I ride to and from work ie 5am/10pm.

Nice bit of kit for the money, i'm tempted. Potential for picking up even cheaper on eBay.

It depends on whether you are going for on- or off-road.

A pair of the Cateye LED units is amazingly good for road use nowadays.
