One of the 5S from Lean management (the Toyota manufacturing process copied by many) is standardization. Something the bike industry seems to be ignoring at their own risk.
To me personally, the development of the industry in the last 5 years, rather than enticing me to look at new bikes, has put me off from looking at them. I don't want to spend my money in something deemed obsolete after 2 years because the Product department said so.
It's bikes, not microchips!!
