Hi all,
I'm on my first retro project, a 1994 Marin Bobcat Trail. When I stripped the bike and got rid of the parts that were past salvaging I foolishly binned the bottom bracket with checking the spindle length. Now I don't know which one I need to replace it with.
Here's what I do know:
I'm planning on replacing it with a UN55 square taper BB, on the original 3 ring Alivio chainset, on a 68mm BB shell. I'm also keeping the original set up of 3 x 7.
Does anyone know or can anyone tell me how to calculate the correct length?
