Hi,

out of courtesy I am pm'ing you rather than posting this.

But I think you are having a laugh with your prices.

I got this PM in my Inbox yesterday. Asked to please clearify, but no reply yet.

"out of courtesy I am pm'ing you rather than posting this.": That is nice, much appreciated. Fully in line with forum policy and common ethics also.

So I assume you are all sitting there lauging now? - if I may believe my informant.

I am always in for a good laugh :)

Please tell me where the fun is about.

Thank you

The ad will be running for another 3h. Lets wait to see where it finishes. Already now we can draw conclusions on the condition. If you're happy with how it is -and it does not look bad imo- and finishing your build with it, the eBay one might be the right one for you.

I will immediately admit that I am no expert on 50s Campa, though I did some orientation.

- pretty much all I saw offered didn't look as tidy
- no corrosion on this one. nowhere.
- very nice pulleys in place
- It is a full kit, complete, no need to source several packages
- shipped from Holland

and of course it is only the asking. People are free to make me an offer and who knows I will say it is okay. Of course I will not let it drop under for me acceptable level (with eye on what I paid for it, shipping, effort and so on). Than the only option is for me putting it back in the display case and for the other to settle for something else.

Listing ended. I can't supply for that, no way near. On the other hand a knowledgable and respected Gent :) approached me meanwhile and told a kit could go for around 50 upwards at the jumbles. Anyway, I like concept of selling great stuff at accurate prices. I am unsure whether I can deliver this time. Plus I don't want to run the risk people laughing at me  I pull it back.

The person who PM'ed me yesterday never wrote back. Of course rolled of his arm chair laughing.

Lovely frame yet again, love those wrap around stays. 8)
Hope you are fine and well matey :)

Thanks for the kind words on the frame and I am sure fine matey :) The wrap around stays are a touch on the earlier Zielemans. I think around '78 there was a switch to the types of cap like shown below >>>

Thanks for the info on the Zielemans. Stunning bike that black one and a cool thread. I always learn a great deal from your posts Mel :)
Been loitering over in the MTB section these last few months boring everyone silly on my CB Canyon find
When I see these old European gems though I can't help get excited about the next roadie build which I think will be that 79 Koga Gents-Luxe of yours :)

Yes, the black one was a nice project. I haven't ridden a single mile with it however, as the the rear Roval needs to be retensioned and I do not dare to touch it. Showbike :) There are other for riding.

Another Retrobiker PM'ing me now >>

Hi,

Hahahahahahahah!!!!!!

Your prices are very competitive with other sources and the standard of your sales is very high.

Even if I cant afford them.

Keep on truckin'

Now that is encouraging :D Thank you.
