Zaskar front mech

Hi all,

Long time since I last posted here

I'm just sorting out my son's Zaskar with some 26" wheels ( it's a really small frame that he has been running with 24's ) and bleeding the brakes etc.

I had forgotten that it was fitted with a 31.8 LX dual pull front mech that has never really worked properly, can someone remind me what it should have ? It's an early 7000 series bike, if I remember rightly from the first year or two after production moved from America.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

The bike I think is from 2000, looking at a larger size frame it has a top routed cable, so a top pull front mech. Bike Pedia lists Shimano Deore LX top Swing. Top swing is the compact looking front mech.

Being such a small frame I can't be sure on the top routing due to the kink in the top tube

I'd been searching for a photo of that but couldn't find one. That is the very frame that I have which I bought from World Ranger.
