Once the forks have been dismantled and the legs painted, is it wise to replace any seals etc during reassembly?

Can't hurt.Plus it lets you strip down all the parts and get the gunk out from all the nooks and crannies.
I have a pair arriving soon needing the seals changed.
What colour was it you were doing them?

Probably got 2 pairs to do.. 1 in purple (or white) and the other in black.

Are the seals and stuff available as a complete 'kit'??

You need the outer wiper seals and the inner oil seals
They should come as a pack of 4
I'll have a look and report back with a link

Stumbled on a UK link for bits yet mr. ti?
And is regular 7.5 oil the best for the job? I only want to do this once so would like to use the best I can.. .

Oh. . Sorry. . Any sources for replacement decals too? Or should I wait til gil isn't so busy?

Depends how much you weigh and how hard you ride. Light riders can go down to 5, fatties need a much higher number.
