Your last bike,..

That'd be this one.

I'll never part with this, owned it for nine years now.

It's being used as a commuter at the moment and has a few non retro bits like the stem and the cranks, but i'll be rebuilding it with better parts soon.

Had my RTS from new, and I will go before it does!
Its about to have a few new bits added, swapped etc, but this is how it looks at the moment.

It is really nice to see that in most cases it is Heart over mind, and the first bike will be the last one aswell. :D

but this is because we like the retro stuff instead of the new

I don't think I'll ever get rid of my Kona Explosif... not that anyone would probably want to buy it.

Not even breaking it was reason enough... fix it up and hit the trails again.

"were going down together in a ball of flames"

Probably the black kestrel, kinda attached to it, with the white kestrel & trimble a close second/third.

Moots Yb-b. Eighth or is it the nineth year?
Welds that you just cannot believe (waterbottle bosses are amazing).
Lifetime warrenty....it might just win.

It would have to be my Explosif of course, simply because I've owned it for so long (I bought it s/h when it was about nine months old) - riding it (or even just looking at it !) brings back so many memories of great rides and race days with so many good friends that even if I was no longer able to ride it I would keep it for that fact alone.
Even while I'm typing this I can still remember so many good times that it's been a part of that I know I simply could not bring myself to sell it.

I am however an overly sentimental old fool, but that being the case I really don't care either....

i am a sentimental fool myself,..

My Serotta makes me feel the same way.
It was build up to my own specs and sizes,..it fits like a glove when i ride it.
