Re:

Ah so you got it then :-)

I bid on that when it was on eBay, how does it ride?

You're teasing us with the description Of the 'ridiculously over-engineered seatpost binder' - any photos.

Not interested myself now I'm afraid but have a free bump!

Hey jaypee, you can't have bid very much then, I got it for not many beans...

Yeah, it rides pretty nice, though I only rode it the few miles back to Brighton, serviced it and then hung it up. I should probably give it a good thrash over the downs before I sell it...

I'll take a photo of the seatpost binder when I'm at the workshop tomorrow and will post it as soon as I remember.

Cheers!

Re:

Yeah I didn't need another bike and though it looked interesting it was a bit of a shot in the dark. I also didn't think anyone else had spotted it and I was surprised how disappointed I was when I didn't get it (and wished I'd bid more!)

Good luck with the sale! :D

OK, the seat post clamp...

The clamp is separate from the frame but captive and looks like it's part of the frame, it floats on the frame within the limits set by the cut out at the back of the seat tube for the cams in the clamp, which hold the seat post when the clamp is closed. Make sense? It's a beautiful thing...

UPDATE - the sale no longer includes the saddle, it's not lost or broken or missing or any other bs, I'm just keepin it, a generic saddle can be included if necessary.

£105 + shipping? And at that price, if I manage to get out for a ride on it before it sells, I may not manage to clean it afterwards...
