Updating a couple of threads in the readers bikes section has made me have a little bit of a look and a re-think as to my machine priorities. All my machines are riders, and having a couple of machines I basically no longer use makes no sense, so with much deliberation, I have decided to put two on the shopping block. They don't "have" to go, so I'm certainly not giving them away.

And as per the backstory detailed in the link below this was Mert Lawwill's DH4, for which he got Geoff Ringlé to make a batch of layback moby posts for so it was a bit more comfy to ride up hills.
Geoff and Mert were business partners at the time, in business designing and making parts for vintage Indian motorcycles. That business has since been sold.
I bought this machine from Geoff in 2007.
Price for this would be £5500

Also, I never ride and would be looking at outing the very rare clearcoat Pro-FRO. Kept in a dehumidified workshop where rust is banned. There is filigree rust under the clearcoat in spots, but it hasn't crept (compare the pics 11-years apart). Bullseye, Syncros, Marinovative ETC. I have the original ATAC stem with the noodle if you want to go back to cantilever brakes.
I think the only bit on this machine that's not era correct is the Superdupereight rear hub, as I wanted hyperglide, and not a screw-on freewheel on a matching Bullseye r/hub.
This would be £3500

I would have a preference for these machines to go into museums or publicly accessible collections. IF there is a buyer here that has sch an outlet, then please lets talk.
I'd also certainly rather offer these out on Retrobike first. If no takers I'll try eBay, but as I say, I'm not desperate to sell, and they won't be given away. I know once they're gone, they'll be irreplaceable.

Ok mate nice bike were your cable guides and brake calliper studs attach to frame it looks like glue instead of welds what is it as i have a frame which no one seems to know what it is (its not a yeti ) but yours is the first one i seen with the same thing that looks the same as mine any help would be appreciated cheers

I assume we're talking about the Pro FRO, so really we should be talking on that thread, but regardless, you can see under the clearcoat that the cable guides etc are brazed on, where the main tube junctions are welded. You can see the brass of the braze. If you take a look at any of the framebuilding videos by the likes of Paul Brodie, you'll see they all braze on the ancillaries. This keeps the heat down on the tube, and there isn't the strength requirement of a huge fillet. These bits don't bear the same sorts of loads as the main structural tubes.
