I've made a fair amount of headway on this, including sourcing most of the parts I wanted: Chris King 1" nologo threaded headset, 747 pedals, the right m900 shifter, Syncros 1" cattleprod w. noodle (although it's yellow, and 140mm... not 130mm), and a Syncros Gorilla bar with shim. Also managed to score a beautiful pair of Cook Bros RSR's in black with (at least one) CB ring. But I need to pick up the full bike the cranks came with next month in Washington, DC. Instead of the grey Flite, I'm going with a black one with red label.
I'll re-powder the stem black if I don't find a shorter one before too long. Otherwise, I think I'm sorted for parts. Er, maybe I'll order some skinwall Panaracers from Mombat/FirstFlight, although the cost is killing me for tires.
Now the only major dilemma is what to do about a ding in the top tube. It's small and won't affect anything but it annoys me. I'll post a pic later, it just didn't come out in any of the pics I took. The paint is in good condition, but there are a few bubbles starting to form. So I think I can justify re-powdering it and putting new decals on after filling in the ding with brass.
Anyone know the RAL codes for Yos? Not just candy wild cherry, but any of the original solid colors?
FWIW: the serial number indicates it's a 1992 (272Y2ML).
