Yes i am sure i want to leave this page!. Sorted.

Re:

I've been getting it a lot too. Until today it was solely on here but this evening I got it on ebay.com and would have to click yes 3 or 4 times before it got the message

When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.

Its more likely to do with the advertising banners - its easy to switch off but you also switch off the sites income if you do.

bored now - see above

Arrgghhhh I now see what the problem is, usually I use mobile to read forum, and it is very very VERY annoying,

PLEASE supply instructions to turn off advertising banners, I try to search but get this prompt and frankly it is too annoying to continue searching,

Use ABP, works very well on Chrome.

Re: Yes i am sure i want to leave this page!. Help please.

ok, here seems to be the solution.

internet explorer 11
select tools - the cog icon in the menu bar or alt-x
- compatibility view setting

add retrobike.co.uk website (will be populated automatically)
select add

job done.

Thank you so much. I hope it works for me. It started out of the blue and has been quietly driving me nuts!

.... this option doesn't appear to be available in i.e. 10 ... and if you are running win 8 like I am, then you cannot upgrade to i.e. 11 unless you upgrade to i.e. 8.1 - nice one microsoft!! :(

... but by selecting tools - developer tools (F12), select IE10 Compat View for Browser Mode ... needs to be done each time browser is started though :(

alright, the following seems to work for i.e. 10 without having to set compat view mode each time.

tools -internet options
select security tab
select local intranet, select sites button

select advanced button

add http://www.retrobike.co.uk to the zone.
