I also like just how simple the bike is overall. It's very similar to how I'm planning on building up my Yates expedition tourer frame, except I think I was missing a vital ingredient. Thumbies !!! I need thumbies, the M737 sti's I was going to use are nice, but damn and double damn they are not thumbies.

Neither way round is great. Canti levers don't pull enough cable for V brakes and V brake levers don't pull the cable with enough force for cantilevers.
