Yes, a new guy...

SantaCruzBlur

Devout Dirtbag
hey,

Tought I better sort of introduce myself... Well, my username sort of give away what bike I have at the moment! (Santa Cruz Blur XC - my 3rd Santa Cruz) but I also have a merida road bike, and a 1997 GT Backwoods with a set of RC36 (something I've always wanted since i started mountain biking!)

But I've also spied a proflex frame for sale too.. wish I found this place sooner!!!

Si

Welcome to the site. You'll regret finding this site when all you think about is your next project and your pockets are empty! And you spend that much time with your nose in the laptop that your wife tells you that 'the heart of conversation is dead'. Enjoy it. :D

well, already bought the proflex frame and a few other bits ;) - still not as expensive hobby as my car... luckily, no wife :p

1997 Backwoods was first I saved all my earned money for, great frame for something so low in the range.

Lets have some pics!

I welcome anyone on a Blur here.
You will find that many.....will see you more on Satan than a Santa Cruse.
(V brakes are generally derided and discs referred to as ferrytail fantasy)
Please stay because even the inventors of the sport are on disc-in-full-sussesers these days.
Many will argue that 25 year old technology is superior to today's......though they oddly embraced new technology 25 friction years ago, they now rebuke anything new today. I love my old bikes.... But I don't take a knife to a gun fight.
Blur em.

I know what you mean, but since having an Alpine Stars ALMega DX a fair few years ago I've always had a massive softspot for retro bikes!

I may have one of these "new fandangled multi-point virtual pivot - air susspension - non v-brake, bikes" (but I have aquired a 1996 Proflex) - you wont be getting rid of me that easily!
