yamaha rd500v4 where are you?

Has anyone had any dealings with yamaha rd500v4 before? He was supposed to have sent me a cheque over 2 weeks ago now for some Cooks cranks and I have not received it. I have not posted the cranks as yet but he is not replying to my pm's and they are sitting in my outbox unread. I will leave it a few more days yet incase he is on holiday but just wanted to know if anyone has had any dealings?

that's the feeling I got - never worked out where it was but something like some far flung scottish isle. I think I had some correspondence with him and it was slow.

Ok its getting on for 4 weeks now, no cheque and the emails I have sent are still unread. How long should I leave it before re advertising the cranks? Surely it doesn't take 4 weeks for mail to get to where it is going in the UK, even from a remote Scottish Isle?

Thoughts please.

If you need the cash then I would re sale them again, 4 weeks is too long though, maybe something happens but you dont know that, just relist it again.

Personally, I would say readvertise.

4 weeks and no money, thats long enough.

If you really want something you send £££'s same or next day, dont you??

If the PMs are still in your outbox (as opposed to your sentbox) they haven't yet been read. If they're in your sentbox, they have been read. So he may be out of contact for a while.

I can also vouch for him as a seller who lives somewhere very remote

Yeah he could work away but the last contact I had with him was him stating that he had posted the cheque! I will give it until the end of the week and then re advertise I think.
