ok mate my head is about to explode about this front derailleur

was just going off what i had already

which is stx mc32

on bike pedia for a 96 gt lts 3 says
Shimano STX, top-pull/clamp-on 31.8 mm

97 gt lts
Shimano STX top-swing, bottom-pull/clamp-on 31.8 mm

But the gt 96 flavour which i have it cant be top pull as the cable routes underneath so would be bottom pull i presume.
And so went with the 97 one top swing bottom pull or is the one above bottom swing bottom pull
