I realised today that I have some odd pairs of xtr v brakes. Clearly I didn't notice whenever it was I bought them.

To help me complete a full set I need one right hand/pinch bolt side in the variant with a spring as part of the linkage. (Pic below of the opposite arm i have). The odd one i have doesn't have this. Again pic below.

To make anothet pair complete i either need the same again as above, or swap the noodle side for one without the spring.

Anyone have odd arms they'd like to trade?

Always thought my sets were matching, not sure now you have said that, will have to dig them out and check now 😕

btw your pictures aren't showing.

I was surprised myself. I knew that there were different linkages, but it seems the arms also changed. I was looking at just swapping over the linkages to make them match, but the arms for the sprung versions are different and the linkage is wider to accommodate.

New(s) to me.

M950 the one with the Alu spacer.

M951 the one with the spring.

P. S. You need to out a price on it, ;-)
why are we in Sales?

Normally a price would be needed indeed. Not so sure about that in this case though, as @ishaw is clearly looking for a swap.

Common logic says that this is really a "Wanted" ad. I'll move it there for now and leave a temporary (48h) redirect. If someone has a compelling argument to keep it in the For Sale section, I can always move it back.

I was trying to work out why It had the sales banner taking a good chunk of the mobile screen, until I checked the section. wanted sounds good,
@ishaw
The spring version is the better version, by the way.

Have a lonely M950 caliper. Was it the other side you need?

Thanks, though that is another variation and I don't have any odd ones in that style.

Still looking for a matching brake. Would consider a sized or rattly one as long as cosmetically good, as I have spares to rebuild one.
