XTR grey colour.

Was there only one grey colour used for it?
Are the different shades where its faded?

There were different shades made.

Each of the versions of XTR changed colours.

M900/M910 was mainly silver with dark metallic blue accents but they did do seatposts in black anno.

M950 was a matt dark grey.

M960 was also dark grey but had a more shiny finish

M970 was almost black and silver.

Not sure about M980.

My current ride is mainly M950 series and colours arre very good and don't apprear to have faded. Off course the anno finish can wear off as can been seen on crank arms especially.

I figured the OP was posting about the M95x series, which, during the years offered, was available in lighter and darker variants. There may have been three, but definitely at least two.

indeed, M950 was slightly lighter than M952.
