Al, Three of your cantis seem to be missing the internal bush which they need. I found this out the hard way!!

Each canti has a stainless (from memory) collar that fits over the brake boss and then inside the cantilever. If you look at your picture, the one bottom left looks like it has this whereas the others don't.

If you want to make sure, try fitting them on to a boss to make sure.

Correct.... I think its more a brass collar though, but like you say there missing from the brakes pictured !!
