JIS 1" headsets have a 27mm crown race instead of a 26.4mm race.

They also have 30.0mm frame cups instead of 30.2mm, this doesn't sound like much of a difference but with the short insertion length a JIS will wang about all over the place in an ISO frame. That coupled with a crown race slacker than a brothel queen will result in a warped frame and loads of play.
