Xt Pedals - is this just getting a tad ridiculous..??!?!

they declined my offer of $50.....:(
The seller (Bad_CNC-Habit) is notorious for very high BIN prices. I suggest sending him a message asking how much he's hoping to get for the pedals, and include some comparables to show him how you came up with your offer. He's somewhat reasonable, but since he just listed these pedals yesterday, he might not be willing to move a whole lot on the price just yet. (My two cents)

The seller sets a price...if the item does not sell the seller either leaves it at the same price or reduces the price to attract a buyer.

The buyer eithers makes the purchase or decides not to bother..remember no one makes you hit that purchase button..its the buyers decision  .."if in doubt do nowt"

Ernie

 $50 is the going price for a pair of scruffy but good condition set. think you're looking at least in the $100-150 to start for a set of NOS.

i consider that a challenge :)

The last 2 sets i saw sold on ebay came from the seller Arrow-cycles.One went for £81 the other £56

why are they so rare then? why the pedals and not some other component like shifters/mechs ...??

NOS would be rare, but the pedals themselves aren't if you can settle for used sets. I have three sets myself and that was within a month or so after wanted one set.

you could always hunt for other NOS parts instead. for example this would be cheaper for you to buy…

Sorry, all of them are spoken for on bikes. One set on the missus's bike, one on my DeKerf, and last is completing another project.

Best I can offer is a set of really nice condition XT M735 pedals, in my for sale thread (see link in my sig). Or perhaps a well worn but still useable XT M731 pedals. PM me if interested in either.
