as always muppets push the prices though the roof so these chancers set the price, same with rare JDM parts for Honda's. the Yanks remind me of OCD kids whose toys are never played with lest they lose their value.
broad generalities are usually stupid and offensive; this one is no exception.
NOS condition mtb parts are rare because most "yanks" have used their parts/bikes/toys excessively, so when one of these rare parts come up for sale, it commands a higher price. Though "yanks" aren't the ones that have really driven the prices as much as collectors from other countries. It's simple supply and demand.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder has nothing to do with having a couple crates of NOS parts to sell. It might explain the need to hoard, but if this "yank" was a hoarder, he wouldn't be selling at any price.
As for rare JDM Honda parts from sporty mid-90's hondas, that were never exported: yes, they're rightfully expensive, but could be had a bit cheaper if you happen to be flying to Japan, and have access to a few junkyards, once there, and then can get it through customs on your way back. Oh wait, that would get pricey afterall.
Damn "yanks", "muppets", "chancers", and those possessing mental disorders!
