Xt Pedals - is this just getting a tad ridiculous..??!?!

as always muppets push the prices though the roof so these chancers set the price, same with rare JDM parts for Honda's. the Yanks remind me of OCD kids whose toys are never played with lest they lose their value.

The American ebay auctions for retro bits have a tendency to be a little exaggerated on the price front..

Seen some outrageous prices for XC Pro stuff and Shimano thumbies... among other bits..

These are BIN now prices, not SOLD prices.

I could put my Raleigh Lizard up with a BIN of £2000.

Doesn't mean in any way though that my pricing reflects the market does it?

Be more like £5000 if that was the case...

Do you mind elaborating on that statement? Not sure how I remind you of an OCD kid, but I'm curious to know.

Also, as BB stated, if a BIN price is too high, the item won't sell. Simple as that.

I'm pretty sure German's don't have the best reputation for this. Or anyone on mainland Europe. Or the Japanese. Or... Yeah, methinks it might just be a world-wide phenomenon.

If somebody wants it bad enough then they'll buy it. It will probably push the price up, but then that's (capitalist) life. It does, however, make getting that part you need at a silly-cheap price just that little bit sweeter, in my opinion.

Found Germany and the Far East to be very reasonable (ridiculously so for some things in the Far East)..

Obviously it's not exclusive to the USA but that's where I see most of the extortionate asking prices.
