XT pedal disassembly

Please can someone tell me what tool is required to remove (and reinstall) the end cap on XT flat pedals - M731's in this case? I have just acquired a set and they need greased.

While we're on the topic of grease, any recommendations for grease guns that can work with WTB hubs?

Thanks all.

Sod that is what I thought when I wanted to rebuild some DX pedals! The problem is there's not a keyed washer, hence the pricey tool you have.
A box spanner, bolt welded to the side as leverage. Shaved-down with an angle grinder so it goes inside the pedal body. Socket on an extender - also shaved-down so it passes inside the box spanner. Worked a treat. Pictures tell the story

You can get to the locknut with a fairly standard socket.
You can then adjust the cone with a small screwdriver down onto a flat, and then use it to jam the cone as you tighten the locknut.
Some trial and error required, but with practice it gets quite easy.

Any grease gun will take an adapted grease nipple with a suitable nozzle attached.
