XT Cranks NOS - Does 5 - 10mm make a difference?

Whoa... don't understand that one at all, maybe it was a case where 2 people tossed out a 'winner' bid, way over the top to be sure to win it, only to get stuck paying an outrageous price? Odd.

I wish that would happen to me, my NOS/NIB M700 thumbies didn't go over $100

180s are very rare, and if you've got to have one, then you've got to have this one.

Have you seen the price of modern chainsets? By those standards, $292 isn't all that much.

I wondered if that was part of it. Though I can't believe 5mm makes that much of a difference unless you are racer or in a competition.

I agree and always amazed that NOS rare older bits bring less then the new stuff sometimes.

NOS, the 180mm factor, and the fact that it has rings-- those are pretty hard to get by themselves these days.

But really, compare the price to new chainsets and it isn't *that* much of a leap price-wise.
