They are NOS and work fine. The left gear shifter pulls and releases the cable as it should but doesn't seem to have the positive, audible click that the other side does. I've never used these before so I'm not sure if it can be rectified. To be honest bit never really bothered me, they were like this when I bought them off here. I was just going to use them as is.

Hope this makes it a liitle clearer.
