XC Pro MD 7 Speed Cassette

I'm returning a 1992 bike to stock build. It was 7 speed XC-Pro MD, 11-24. The wheel set I have is original but there is no free hub. I can't remember if the cassette was thread on or this was to allow a free hub installation.

Does anyone know if 1992 XC Pro MD was thread on or not?

My 91 pair was a freehub with cassette ( from distant memory). But it was not microdrive.

If you have a photo, that would help.

It's a cassette and the two bottom cogs screw onto the freehub to hold it in place.
You need a very specific freehub body, the MD 7Speed one.

The freehub body bolts on with a big hollow bolt through the hub.

The Archive had the catalogues from that time.

This hub takes a screw on freewheel, not a cassette.

You will not. They didn't make it for freewheels. You need a different hub, or just get a 13-28 cassette.
That's pre MicroDrive.
About 1990 probably.
