They don't seem to have a website and I can find barely anything about their new range of bits.

Are they part of a big Asian producer now?

Was just trying to find out some info on some carbon riser bars but can find nothing.

Ho hum.

I do get a nice feeling when I see muc off for cleaning car alloys and things , nice to think that an old rider has made a few quid and you think to yourself the guy that buys that will probably be completely aware that it was made for cycles first .

IIRC the muc-off branding was 'bought out' from the old x lite..

Bitd (was about 12) I used to go to their workshop in poole and they would bring out a big box load of stuff with minor imperfections and give me some great deals. Seemed like a cool bunch of people.
Thing is it comes down to economics, why these places will gradually disappear.

There was an article in Singletrack recently about X-lite. Looks like the Muc-Off and all the other -Off products are more profitable than CNC'd bike bits.

didn't rex trimnell, the original owner and designer die a few years back? :( leaving alex, his son to run x lite.
