I know... sometimes I think dullards (who don't particularly need an item) whack a bid in to kill the Buy it now... and prevent someone getting a reasonable deal...

Profiteering - No such thing mate. I'd see it as an opportunity (the risk being you can't sell for what you paid). An items always worth what someone is prepared to pay....
Bugger why does some one always has to have a bid on a perfectly good bin :x
