Wanted - stuff for my Trek 7000. It's going to be a winter/pub hack, so cheap as chips please, not really too fussed about condition, as long as it works!

Things I need -

Forks

1 & 1/8, steerer doesn't have to be too long. (frame is 18") Would love a disc compatible rigid up front. Would also consider something close to the original, a Tange Big Fork S. Also considering something air based, and this item doesn't have to be as cheap as the rest

Brakes, I will eventually need. Would like to try some hydraulic discs on this as it's for winter. These aren't currently essential

and as for the above, will also be looking for a rear disc adapter.

mudguards looking for some full tyre length jobbies

Still not got my swaps list together

The other thing I have for swaps is my time. Some of you may or may not know I can draw a little. If anyone wants custom decals made up, or anything that Gil doesn't have on file done, I am happy to do a deal.

All my work is printed by Gil after your approval. Talk to rojo, CTK, Stumpjumper1990, rosstheboss, Pete or Cyfa if you want to confirm my credentials ;)

right, after all that ...WHYG? :D

I can help you out...

I've a brand new in packet single speed kit here, comprising a proper s/speed 16T cog with all the spacers for 8/9 speed and a lockring. I also have a lovely gold KMC chain (single speed specific 1/8" width) which has been used for c.25miles only. I can post you both the above for a measly £13.50...

Or if you want to save £2.50, I can send the aformentioned single speed kit with a brand new in box KMC S1 1/8" chain instead for just £11. Either way, both the 1/8" chains will work perfectly with the cog and will be fine with a standard 3/32" chainring.

I don't have a chain tensioner or any suitable forks, but I do have a complete set of Hayes Stroker Trail hydraulic brakes, going cheap and listed here:

The brakes are as described in that thread and I can do a really good deal on the lot! and probably chuck in a few extra little bits to sweeten the deal (coloured cable end crimps, ahead spacers, bar end plugs, poss. grips?) :D

Just let me know if of any interest!?

Cheers,
Al

Wow, wasn't expecting a response so soon!

Definitely interested in the ss kit :) got any pics?

Not so sure about the brakes just yet. Will have to have a think as still not sure about how it's going to go :?

I've realised I'll have a spare set of HS11's once the missus' bike gets it's upgrade and I'm also realising that my budget is tighter than a really tight thing

PM coming in re: the kit, Al, ta very much

I've got a DMR SS kit which you are welcome to have for £6 posted. It's got all the spacers and cog and lock ring, very light use. Decided I like it, so moving up market with my SS kit
