WTD - adapter for rear disc brake

Does anyone have a rear disc brake adapter for sale? pref one that attaches to the v-brake mount?

Frame is steel.

I have an A2Z thingy that clamps to the drop-out D...

could be persuaded to part with it if nothing else turns up

If I can buy one that would be fine, I did like the look of the one that went to the boss on the frame however.

i can vouch for the a2z ones. they are very good and sturdy and lean on the frame so cant move under braking. lighter than all the other types too.

It says they are more suitable for aluminium frames - any thoughts?

cant say i ever read that and really cant see why that would be the case if they did?? maybe something to do with dropout thickness? but still cant see why it would be the case. you may well be in for a small amount of fettling to get it spot on but then IS mount brakes need a bit of messing with to get right. i think they are a well designed and work very well. give it a go. ad

They are more suited to Alu frames due to both the thickness and design of the rear dropouts, the A2Z adapter needs the flat plate type dropout to clamp around.

yes i see what you mean now. steel frames tend to have a smaller dropout. what frame is it for? got a piccy?

Pic enclosed but its not a flat dropout.

Its more like a Ritchey cowled dropout, but seems to have a tail on it where a mudguard eye might go. Might be something Sunn made themselves?

(I'm not a great fount of knowledge on bike things, but MTB less so).
