Need to replace the wobbly one on my Pennine, its too old and wont stay true for more than a few days :( . I have a wienmann concaved rimmed Normandy hubbed number on the front but anything shiny and true could do the job.

Cheers

How many spokes, what length axle?

I have:
- a campag record on Wienmann concave (LFQR, with oil hole)
- an ofmega on a Weinmann concave (LFQR)
- a maillard on a Weinmann convex (I think) (solid axle).

I also have a shimano 600 and something else, I think (I will have a look tomorrow morning and update this post).

The front wheels corresponding to each of these is shown here: http://tinyurl.com/2f6oscn

I will post up some rear wheels tomorrow if this would be of interest.

Hi Richard

Sorry for the delay - I have posted some pictures up for you at http://tinyurl.com/35ell77

The maillard hub is a bit ropey and the block is such an obscure one that even my collection of removers didn't have anything to get it off. Also, the Weinmann convex rim on it wasn't as true as the other two, so I didn't waste any more time on that wheel.

regards

John

Hi John
thats what Im after! have they both got SS spokes, the ones on the campag look galvanised. How much would you be after posted to gosport.

cheers

Hi Richard

I have just been out to check. You are quite right - the campag has galvanised spokes, the ofmega has stainless. Although the rims look grubby, I cleaned and polished one section and it came up really nicely.

Assuming you want the ofmega, you can have it for £10 plus postage. I need a bit of help from the forum members here, though, since I haven't posted a wheel before. What is the best way to pack and send wheels, and what is the typical cost?

Thanks

John

Cheers John
I will indeed have the ofmega. I have posted wheels in cut down bike boxes or wheel boxes from my LBS. add packing to avoid crushing and hope no one stands on it!

I will pm you my address and if you can let me know the total i can sort out some dosh for you.

Cheers
