Worst of all is that junk has been bid up to more than £60.

On that basis alone, it will probably be bought by some clueless fakenger hipster who will shortly end up under a bus, after a brief and unsuccessful introduction to riding in busy traffic (dude!).

Flat bars conversion and lack of gears does not equal road-sense and well-developed vehicular cycling skills.

I see quite a lot of people riding around Leeds on conversions like that. Maybe it's a Yorkshire thing.
