Worn dropouts ?

I sent the offending qr back to the supplier who was quite defensive. He eventually returned the qr.
Having looked at my drop outs on the m2, there is nothing wrong with them. Like sheldon has explained the wrong qr will always strugle to provide the correct clamping force.

Having looked at my drop outs on the m2, there is nothing wrong with them.

There's nothing wrong with the dropout as such, but frankly the design isn't very intelligent. Likewise, weak lightweight skewers work fine in true vertical dropouts. It's the combination of a weak skewer with an unusual dropout that causes the problem.
