At present along with many families across the U.K.we are watching every penny we spend. That little bit of disposal or “walking around” money is getting smaller every month as prices rise in utilities and food.
Due to measures taken by the government everybody in the public and private sector have had pay freezes.
I would say nearly everybody shops at a Supermarket be it Tescos, Sainsburys, Asda, Morrisons and Lidl.
At times especially as small shops are going out of business a lot of criticism is giving to the larger retailer for taking over and then the smaller retailers cant compete. Again this makes people more determined to shop around and get the “best” price.
They all have different slogans. I have visited each of their websites, they all want to work with the community and together work as a team {the Supermarket and the community}
I have an idea, would it be possible that any one of these firms or better still all of them have system for employing staff on a casual basis, for example myself I work 4 days on and 4 days off. If I was given the chance to say work 8 hours between lets say 0600 and 2200 hours two or three times a month. You did not pay me in money but “food vouchers” . A rate of £7.50 an hours times 8 hours =£60 in food vouchers.
“Food vouchers” mean exactly that no alcohol. This then would give me extra money to do more with the family.. cinema, bowling, night out etc.
Personally I think it would mean as companies they are putting more back into the community and getting the local and the U.K. economy moving again. As companies they still are making profit as they would not be paying me the £60 in “real” terms
I understand that this may not be viable for legal reasons, which is a shame..this system everybody works together and everybody benefits
Could this be done???..just a thought i had this morning whilst chatting to my brother in law..
What do you think
