Winter is here, so is the new project (twin ice axe content)

Although there are a few other projects on the go right now, I just wanted to start this one and start this tread here on retrobike.

Just went over to Europe a couple of weeks ago and had the opportunity to pic up this nice ARC AS.

When I came back, I also found this one sitting on the doorstep, back from the welder.

So this is going to be a twin build !

The strange thing with the 2nd frame.... It only needed a weld on the bottle holder bolt inserts on the seat stay !!!!

For the turquoise/white frame I'm going with some Machine tech kit.
Hubs
Stem
Brakes and levers.
Sure... if there is anyone out there that has the Machine tech cranks and wants to part with them...
Just let me know.
For the rest it will be Manitou 3 forks and plain M900 on the drive side of things.

For the repaired frame, I haven't decided yet what to do. I do have Yeti's in several colors, but no clue on this one.
I was going with the Yellow/Turquoise as it was the original setup, but there's been quite a few build that way out there already. So if you have any suggestions...... (Keep in mind this is an early ARC AS)
I'm might be grabbing the Yeti brochure over Christmas and figure out setup ;-)

For the build I might go ShimaNO and or with some old-school disc setup.
