hello, was wondering if anybody has any information about wilson bmx frames, a friend at work has had one since the mid 80s, and it would be nice to find out some background on them. they were used by team halfords riders, as this was an ex team frame and fork. the chrome is in poor condition, but the quality of the brazing is super, easily on a par with that of curtis. strangely the bike has a standard one inch headset rather than the oversized bmx type. the stickers are not original as he had these made back in the day by a signwriter. thanks, matt.

most old school BMX's came with the 1" threaded headset - it's a nice frame though - if he wants to part with it then let me know

you misunderstand, old school bmx's dont use the same headset cups as road bikes, this one has the smaller lightweight ones. like road bikes use quill stems that measure 22.2mm, and bmx use 21.1mm. oh, and its not for sale, it means too much to him.
