Will XT 8 speed M737 shifters and brake levers....

It's funny how many m730 parts were still "current" when m739 was available.

Never liked those cantilevers though, they were too similar to all the low end ones.

by that stage no one really used shimano seatposts or seat QRs though, and the sharkfin was always an odd one.
 
Seatpost I could understand, other than the look of it there was not much to alter as it worked and XTR was the higher model seat post. (again kept it M910 naming, again it worked and looked nice).

Q/R is the odd one to me, it could easily have been updated to include bands and take on the lighter styling of the wheel ones with little effort from Shimano to eek a few more pennies out of OEM's.

The ST-M008 are just an odd numbering, should really have been labelled SL-M737 as they are a Shift Lever not a Brake and Shifter combo.
 
no, fraid not. There were no integrated LX STIs that were V compatible until the 9 speed ones.
